It is our mission to welcome new fliers, teach safety, hold events and races that invite the community to participate and/or observe the fascinating world of FPV and multi-rotor racing and freestyle flying.
SATURDAY – RACE – Track to find the fastest pilots!
SUNDAY – FREESTYLE – Competition with special judges
Prizes! Food! Music! Camping!
This event will take place at the home field location in Bonner Springs, KS. As of 2019, The Agriculture Center and Hall of Fame has agreed to house our field on their beautiful 140+ acre property! This space provides plenty of amenities we have sought to provide our members including a private gate entrance and proper landscaping.
634 N 126th St, Bonner Springs, KS 66012
There will be access at the northern gate so enter through the pay stations at the ampitheatre or the fairgrounds and come on in the gate! In the event the gate is closed, pilots and spectators are encouraged to take the “long way” through the Museum of Farming’s entrance, in the southwest end of their parking lot. Ask any member for the code. This road will take you through the museum’s property and to our space in the back. Look for the power poles! The International Linemen Rodeo has their competition ground here as well, and we will be just east of their poles.
Bring tents and power sources. Restrooms will be a short walk from the field! Spectators are welcome and as always, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to any of KCMRs officers!
BEGINNERS will have access to the track just the same as any pilot, but will only be required to go through the start/finish gate. All other gates and flags are optional. These pilots can use the race to simply practice flying at their own speed. Use this class to practice flying and getting the feel of what a race track is like. (Please sign up in the Novice class and let the race director know if you will be planning on flying at this level)
NOVICE class will be for pilots who are ready to compete for a podium spot. This class will feature its own Novice route within the whole track for pilots to easily fly a course. All gates and flags (within this simplified course) will be required and these pilots will compete for the podium!
SPORT class will be for the intermediate pilots, and will feature the entire course as it is set-up. This class will include all pilots who are ready to compete against other Sport class pilots for a podium spot. Once a Sport class pilot wins 3 races, he or she will be advanced into the Pro class.
PRO class will be for the fastest pilots of the club, and the country. These pilots must have finished 1st in 3 KCMR races, or 1st in any larger national event (MultiGP, DRL, etc.) This class will also compete for a podium spot with other Pro pilots.
Please make sure to join the event on MultiGP and select the appropriate class.
OPEN class, which means if it flys, BRING IT! as long as it has a FPV feed, we will judge it!
Pilots will be judged on the following subjects; Creativity, Flow, Execution, and Use of course. Prizes will be awarded to the top preforming pilots in each class. Pilots will individually receive one solo round to impress the judges. Digital FPV feeds will not be accepted.
Race Specifications/Classes: Open class – 305mm Max – 800g Max – 25mW Max
